PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit which can be downsized and also which can improve conversion efficiency and besides can reduce generated higher harmonic components. SOLUTION: This power unit is equipped with a capacitive element 4 capable of being connected to a DC power source 2, a first switching means 42 for forming a first closed loop circuit where at least the capacitive element 4 and the DC power source 2 are connected in series, a second switching means 4 for forming the second closed loop circuit including the series resonance circuit of at least the capacitive element 4 and the inductive element 43, and a switch control means for operating the first and second switching means 42 and 43 alternately. And, the circuit frequency based on the series resonance circuit, the switch is set to the frequency higher than the repeat frequency that the switch control means operates the first switching means 42, and when the second switch 41 is operated by the switch control means at least, AC power based on the resonance of the series resonance circuit is outputted from the second closed loop circuit. |
