PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently design data items and automatically generate physical files by specifying data items of each determined physical file according to the data items of an input/output screen and an output document and adding necessary information to the respective specified data items. SOLUTION: Screen/document images 1 and 2 are registered in a computer interactively (3) and data items are extracted from the registered screen/ document images 1 and 2. All the extracted data items 5 by the screen/document images 1 and 2 are put together and necessary data items are added to generate a data item dictionary (6 and 8). Then a physical file is determined and data items of each determined physical file are specified according to the data items of the input/output screen and output document. Further, necessary information is added to the respective specified data items to complete physical file designs 11 and 12. |
