PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of film adhesion to caused by the intrusion of liquid chemicals from the peripheral part of an interlayer insulating film and to prevent the lowering of the yield accompanying it in a manufacturing process. SOLUTION: The peripheral part of the interlayer insulating film 37 formed so as to surround a pixel part and provided above a gate signal input terminal 21 and a source signal input terminal 22 is covered with a protective film 38. Thus, the intrusion of the liquid chemicals to be used in the manufacturing process is prevented and the peeling or alteration of the interlayer insulating film 37 are prevented to improve the yield.
