PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contrive a high density recording and to prevent a loss in crosstalk characteristic by making the track pitch of a recording track almost equal to the spot radius of a first area. SOLUTION: The track pitch Tp to be determined by widths of a land part 3 and a guiding groove 4 is made almost equal to the distance from the intensity center of the beam spot 6 of the light beam on a light irradiation surface to a position where the intensity of the spot becomes minimum first. In an optical recording medium in which A (the effective radius of an objective lens/W (the spot size of a light beam)) is set to <=1.0 by designing the track pitch Tp in such a manner, when a prescribed recording track is irradiated with the light beam, a position where the intensity of the light beam is minimum is made to be positioned at almost the center of an adjacent track. Consequently, the crosstalk from the adjacent track becomes minute naturally and the high density recording in the arrangement direction of tracks is attained. |
