摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetic recording medium excellent in electromagnetic transducing characteristics and corrosion resistance with use of an Fe material less liable to cause the problem of environmental pollution. SOLUTION: A metallic magnetic film of Fe-N-O having 47-67at.% O content in the region from the surface to a depth of 50Åis formed on a substrate to obtain the objective magnetic recording medium.
