PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve such problems incapable of coping with the case of performing high speed multivalued modulation for forming a recording mark and the case of completion of forming the recording mark and a space after passing a recording beam of light like a phase transition type optical disk. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with an optical head 17 for irradiating the same track with at least a main-beam of light and a sub-beam of light from one light source 18, photodetectors 27 and 28 for receiving individual reflected light beams from an information recording medium and a light intensity control means 16 for controlling the light source 18 with a control signal. An output signal level of the photodetector 28 corresponding to the sub-beam of light obtained at the time of recording the space by the main-beam of light is applied as one to the control signal for the light intensity control means 16. |
