PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform color editing in an arbitrary system to improve the workability of the preparation of a color document by providing a means, which makes character attributes correspond to colors, and a means which gives color information as attributes in character codes. SOLUTION: The color correspondence system where character attributes like underline/halftoning are made correspond to colors and the color attribute system which gives color information determined by the system as attributes in character codes are selected on a display picture. Information set by a color circumstance setting part 441 is preserved in a color circumstance information storage area 31 of a storage device 2. A character modification part 452 refers to set contents of the color circumstance setting part 441; and in the case of the color correspondence system, the part 452 adds the character modification attribute designated in document data and converts it to the corresponding color attribute at the time of outputting data to a display control part 42 or a print control part. In the case of the color attribute system, designated modification data is added to character data. |
