PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform more proper chord detection by properly setting a section wherein the chord detection is performed and performing the proper chord detection, and further increasing parameters for determining a chord. SOLUTION: One measure is regarded first as an object section (chord section) of chord detection and a harmony degree DHM showing the degree of harmony between a melody and chord constituent sounds is calculated (S22); unless the condition that the harmony degree DHM is less than specified is met in at least one chord section, a new chord section is determined (S24-S28) and a harmony degree DHM is calculated again. On the basis of the harmony degree DHM, a group of plural chord sounds is selected and one group of chord sounds is selected from other various viewpoints to determine a corresponding chord. |
