PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce surrounding environmental noise when the telephone set is used as a portable telephone set and to attain memo recording without any modification when the telephone set is folded into two. SOLUTION: A 2nd casing 101 having an opposite face 101 is hinged with a 1st casing 100 having an opposite face 100a by a hinge 102. A 1st receiving microphone 26 receives voice from directions of an opening 104 provided to the opposite face 101a of a 2nd case 101 and a 2nd receiving microphone 28 receives voice from directions of an opening 107 provided to the face 101b opposite to the opposed face. The 1st and 2nd reception microphones 26, 28 are added differentially to reduce environment noise. When the casings 100, 101 are set close by approaching the opposed faces to cause a 2-fold state, a casing opening/closing detection means is used to activate a changeover means thereby stopping the 1st receiving microphone 26 and activating only the 2nd receiving microphone 28.
