PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device in which a developing unit replacement timing is extremely easily recognized. SOLUTION: An image forming device is equipped with an electrophotographic developing device in which a latent image formed on a photosensitive member is developed using one component developer. A developing device is equipped with a thinning layer 3 which is contact a developer support member 1 and uniformizes a developer layer on the developer support member 1, and the thinning layer 3 is composed of material wearing with the lapse of time by friction with the developer support member 1 and has a developing device life detection means M. The thinning layer 3 has such a double structure as using first material on a contacting side with the developer support member 1 and second material on a supporter side, and at least the first material may be composed of the material wearing with the lapse of time. |
