PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body surface monitor which can be accepted by such a subject as a visitor, etc., who is not accustomed with contamination measurement so that the subject can feel strong affinities with the monitor and feel easy about the measurement and the monitor can appropriately and smoothly monitor the subject. SOLUTION: A body surface monitor is composed of an entrance door 1, an exit door on the opposite side of the door 1, a left-side front wall body 3, a right-side rear wall body 4, and a base 5 and is constructed in a square pipe body having an opening on the top. A display window unit is provided on the left-side front face of the wall body 3 and a display unit 40 which displays guiding and instructing messages for measurement and is set at an angle of elevation so that the messages can be read easily is provided on the upper surface of the wall body 3. In addition, a pair of hand measuring units 30 is provided on the left and right side of the upper part of the wall body 3 immediately below the upper surface so that the positions of the units 30 can be changed. Grained decorative sheets are respectively stuck to the upper edges of the door 1, wall bodies 3 and 4, etc., as indicated by the hatched parts in the figure. In the space of the window of the unit 20, in addition, the picture or photograph of such a scenery that can set the minds of persons to be monitored at ease or can calm down the feelings of the persons or such an object at still that can make the persons feel strong affinities with the object is displayed.
