摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a large-scale system for measuring intensity distribution of radia tion by providing an optical path selecting device and its controller between optical transmission fibers which transmit scintillation light and light receiving sections which collect the scintillation light. SOLUTION: When radiation is made incident to radiation sensors 1 installed to each measuring point D1-Dn, scintillation light rays are generated. The scintillation light rays are independently transmitted to an optical path selecting device 3 through optical transmission fibers 2. In the device 3, an optical path selection controller 8 selects the system of one sensor 1 from among the sensors 1 at the measuring points D1-Dn. A photoreceptor 4 photoelectrically converts the scintillation light of the selected system and a counter 7 counts the light through a preamplifier 5 and a linear amplifier 6. The count information of the counter 7 is recorded by means of an arithmetic recorder 9 together with the information of the controller 8. The recorder 9 processes the data and displays the processed results on a radiation distribution display device 10. In such a way, a large-scale system having an allowable counting rate of three or mare digits and a transmitting distance of several thousands meters or longer can be constituted.
