PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for split sleeves and to reduce the costs of members by aligning and integrating a movable optical fiber fixing part and a static optical fiber fixing part by means of two pieces of guide pins. SOLUTION: This optical switch consists of the simple constitution in which switch constituting element parts are housed in two square columns 99, 100. Two pieces of permanent magnets 105 and hollow solenoid coils 104 are housed in this square column 100 so as to enclose the movable optical fiber 101 fixing a magnetic pipe 101B. Two pieces of the static optical fibers 102 and square holes 106 which are the aligning parts for opposing the movable optical fiber 101 and the static optical fibers 102 are formed in another square column 99. The integral alignment and fixation of both square columns 100, 99 are effected by the fit of two pieces of the guide pin housing holes 110 and guide pins 111. The housing grooves into which the movable optical fiber 101, the static optical fibers 102, the hollow solenoid coils 104 and the permanent magnets 105 are insertable are previously formed at both square columns and, therefore, the assembly of inserting and fixing these members into the respective parts is extremely facilitated. |
