PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily pilot the aircraft in safety with a flight simulation feeling even when it is difficult to make a visual field flight by projecting a map of the earth surface in the area of the current flight on a screen, and updating and displaying the current position of this aircraft on the map together with the flight direction and flight altitude at the position. SOLUTION: Under the control of a signal processing part 8, map information on a specific area corresponding to a position measured by GPS is read out of a map information storage medium 5 or by the selecting operation of an operation part 9, map information on the specific area corresponding to the position of a start point is read out; and the map of the earth surface consisting of geographical altitudes, a road network, buildings as markers, etc., is projected in two dimensions on the screen of a display part 7 together with a direction mark. At a specific position on the map projected on the screen, a mark of the current position of the aircraft is updated and displayed together momentarily with the flight direction at the position. At the upper part of the screen, the respective values of the latitude, longitude, altitude, and azimuth of the aircraft which are measured are displayed. |
