PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of leakage of a battery by forming a battery into the structure that the alkaline electrolyte, which is filled inside of a sealing plate, and a separator do not contact with each other until a battery sealing port is sealed. SOLUTION: After inserting the positive electrode mix, which is pressed to be formed into the tablet-shape, into a positive electrode case 5, a positive electrode mix tablet is pressed to the bottom surface inside of a positive electrode case. In this secondary molding process, relation between the inner diameterϕ5a of the upper part of an opening of a positive electrode case with the outer diameterϕ6a of the upper part of an insulating packing 6 is set at≃-6a<ϕ5a. Relation between the inner diameterϕ5 of the positive electrode case 5 and the outer diameterϕ6a of the upper part of the insulating packing 6 and the outer diameterϕ6b of the lower part of the insulating packing 6 is set atϕ6a>=ϕ5>ϕ6b. In the case where thickness of a separator material 3 is expressed with (t) and length of a vertical part of the top surface of a molding pressure contact mix of the positive electrode case 5 is expressed with (l), relation between them is set at (t)>l+0.10.
