PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-specific-gravity, lightweight, inexpensive inclusion for an electric cable by constructing it from a resin composition formed when a filler containing bituminous fine particles is blended with a base polymer. SOLUTION: In an inclusion for an electric cable, which is made from a resin composition obtained when a filler is blended with a base polymer made from a thermoplastic resin, a part or the whole or preferably 30 to 85wt.% of the filler is bituminous fine particles. In addition to the bituminous fine particles, an inorganic mineral filler such as calcium carbonate or talc is blended to form the filler. The bituminous fine particles are obtained by calcining, carbonizing, and subsequent crushing of grain powders, and preferably have an average particle size of about 5 to 10μm and a specific gravity of about 1.2 to 1.25. The filler is blended by about 300 to 700 parts by weight for 100 parts by weight of the base polymer.
