The squeegee edge (20) is mounted on the articulated holder (12), allowing it to follow the contour of the windscreen. Supports (56) hold the deflector (40) which is extruded and has portions (42,44,46) of predetermined rigidity. The deflector will flex in a designed manner under airflow pressure. The deflector can have at least two portions extending longitudinally and of different rigidity, extending in parallel with respect to the axis of the squeegee.
