<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease noises using a filter circuit which uses a capacitor that has few restrictions on design as to its mounting space. SOLUTION: This discharge lamp lighting device has a starting circuit 5 for generating an actuation signal to a discharge lamp 7 and for applying it to the discharge lamp 7 and a noise filter circuit 6 provided between the starting circuit 5 and the discharge lamp 7. In constructing the noise filter circuit 6, a capacitor, one of its component elements, is constructed of a pair of connecting terminals 12a, 12b for connection to the discharge lamp 7, a part of a casing 12 interposed between the connecting terminals, and/or a dielectric resin 13 so as to avoid the use of element parts in the capacitor.</p> |
