PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make optical fiber tape conductors into cables, to thin and lighten the optical cable and to reduce cost by making structure that the optical fiber tape conductors are adjusted at the periphery of a center material. SOLUTION: The optical fiber tape conductors 3 are twisted at the periphery of the center member 6 constituted by a tension member 1 and a coated layer 2, and a protection layer 4 and a seath 5 are sequentially formed on the outer periphery. Since the tape conductors have simple structure and they are made into the cables, the light optical cable whose diameter is thin can be obtained and installation becomes easy. Furthermore, manufacture is easy and therefore manufacturing cost is low. Since an expensive member is not used, material cost can be reduced. When it is assumed that the layer center radius of the optical fiber cable is (a), a cable radius is A and the upper limit of the permission range of distortion occurred in the optical fiber when the optical fiber cable is bent by a winding radius (r) isσ, it is preferable to design the layer center (a) to be smaller than a value satisfyingσ=a/(r+A).
