The piezoelectric transducer is intended to form the transducer element of the sonar antenna. The main section (1) of the transducer (T) is decoupled in order to be independent of the other parts of the transducer by means of a layer of gas enclosed in a flexible membrane (7). This is situated between the back of the main transducer section and its support (5). The motor (2) and the rear mass (3) are decoupled by means of a pre-stressed tube (4) which is resistant to pressure and which ensures the localised support of the transducer (T) on its support (6), by means of a collar (40). This collar may be situated at the nodal point of the transducer. A cover (9) is fixed to the support (5,6) and arranged to protect the rear mass (3), with a minimum space between the rear mass and the cover.
