MODULAR TERMINAL BLOCK ASSEMBLY

The invention is a modular terminal block assembly (20). The modular terminal block assembly (20) includes a base module (28) in which communications company lines (54) may be dressed and retained during the dressing operations. A connector module (26) is provided for attachment over the base module (28) and to engage distribution lines (52) retained in the base module (28) with insulation displacement connectors (IDC) (110) which are retained in the connector module (26). A protection module (30) is provided for engagement with an opposite side of the base module (28) so that protection can be provided on the lines without interfering with the connection termination of customer service line on the connector module (26). The modular terminal block assembly (20) provides structures which allow the assembled modular terminal block to be retained on a standard U-shaped mounting frame (24) or for attachement to a rod frame system (22).
