Besides alanine as the dosimeter substance, a dosimeter foil of an alanine dosimeter contains at least one binder formed by a trans-polyoctenamer and/or polystyrene. The dosimeter foil is made by a perfusion process in which a suspension or solution of the dosimeter substance and binder is poured on a moving substrate foil and subsequently dried.
