When a 1st CPU(11) seems to be out of order, a trouble detection signal is output. This is transmitted to a 2nd CPU(13). The 2nd CPU(13) controls a movement sensor(16) through a control bus(CB2) which outputs reset signal. If the 1st CPU(11) does not come to stop status yet, it decides that the trouble is serious and makes the movement sensor(16) output switching control signal. With this, a bus switching part(15) makes the control buses (CB2)(CB3) connected. And the 2nd CPU(13) scans the detection signal of the door zone, and based on this decides the position of the elevator. If it is stopped at other than door zone, it decides the operational direction based on the output signal of the limit switch.
