Pyrazole compounds represented by general formula (I-1) or salts thereof, wherein R<1> represents a C1-6 haloalkyl or cyano group; R<2> represents a hydrogen atom, a metal atom, or the like; X represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a C1-6 alkyl group, or the like; Ar represents a 2-pyridyl, 2-pyrazyl, 2-pyrimidyl, or 2-thiazolyl group, these groups being optionally substituted with a halogen atom, a C1-6 alkyl, C1-6 alkenyl, C1-6 alkynyl, C3-5 cycloalkyl, C1-6 alkoxy, C1-6 haloalkyl group, or the like, excluding the case wherein R<1> represents CF3, Ar represents 2-pyridyl, and X and R<2> both represent a hydrogen atom. Since the compounds have an excellent bactericidal activity, preparations containing the same are useful for agriculture and horticulture.
