The invention concerns a method of producing a cased hole for extracting crude oil or petroleum gas, wherein a production section (4) of a deep hole is sunk and completed with a perforated production string (7) which is installed in the drill stem (9) and, following the drilling string, is introduced thereinto when the production section (4) is sunk. When the target depth has been reached, the production string (7) is separated from the drill stem (9) and suspended in the deep hole (1). The drill stem (9), including the drilling string parts which can be drawn through the production string, is then dismantled.
