A circulating drainage for a sewage pipe installation work comprises a submersible pump provided in a first manhole, an upstream side stop cock provided on an outflowing side of a sewage pipe between a first manhole and a second manhole downstream of the first manhole with the sewage pipe between the second manhole and a third manhole being a work section, a downstream side stop cock provided on an inflowing side of the sewage pipe opened to the third manhole, and a suction drainage device installed on the ground with a suction pipe thereof extending upstream beyond the upstream side stop cock and a drain pipe thereof extending downstream beyond the downstream side stop cock, said submersible pump having its discharge pipe arranged downstream beyond the downstream side stop cock. Accordingly, a sewage water and the like can be drained even with a sewage pipe laid deep under the ground and odor can be prevented from escaping to the ground.
