Circuit arrangement for motor vehicle control system

The arrangement covers components such as a microprocessor (1) and a hydraulic pump (2) provided with separate earth connections (A1,A2). These are interconnected by an emergency earth link (BMA1) through which a makeshift current can flow when either earth connection is interrupted. The current flows in one direction through a decoupling diode (D1) in series with an ohmic resistance (R1). It controls a transistor (T1) which alters the voltage applied to the Reset input of the microprocessor, and consequently lights a warning lamp (WL).
