<p>The present invention concerns antifoaming silicone-based formulations, which solve the technical problem of providing an antifoaming composition based on a polyorganosiloxane (POS) matrix adsorbed on a silica filler and having excellent antifoaming properties as well as a high alkali and temperature resistance. The solution to the technical problem is particularly provided by an antifoaming composition which can be obtained by the essential steps of dispersing the filler (B) in the POS oil (A), cooking the dispersion at a temperature υ1 for a period selected to cause the adsoption of the oil (A) on the filler (B) and, optionally, a loss of water, and contacting said dispersion with an oligoorganosiloxane (C) [OOS] for the treatment thereof and with a catalyst (D) so as to enable the OOS (C) to be grafted on the filler (B), the contact and grafting being conducted at a temperature υ2. The invention also discloses an antifoaming composition per se, a method for obtaining same and the use thereof for defoaming and/or antifoaming, particularly in the detergent and paper industries.</p> |
