Segmented shell construction with floating inner lining

The shell segments (18) are connected from the outside to a supporting skeleton structure consisting of floor assembly, pillars or ribs and end walls. The shell segments, in the load bearing combination, absorb the shear stresses. A floating inner shell (10) is connected to the load bearing outer shell (9) by shear-resistant and flexurally or compressively yielding angle pieces (12). The shell segments may be interconnected by reinforcing edges undertaking the function of a supporting skeleton structure.
