PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain low viscosity, high saturated magnetization, low volatility, etc., by composing the title fluid by dispersing a magnetite particles coated with a monolayer of fatty acid in the dispersion medium of an alkyl-substituted aromatic monocyclic hydrocarbon. CONSTITUTION:When an oleic acid molecule 2 is added in order to stabilize a spheroidal magnetite corpuscle 1 having the dimension of about 100Angstrom , the molecule 2 directs its hydrophilic group 2a to the surface to the corpuscle 1 and takes orientation directed a hydrophobic group 2b to the outside because the surface of the corpuscle 1 is hydrophile. In this way, the perimeter of the corpuscle 1 is coated with a monolayer of the molecule 2 and stabilized. When the fellow corpuscle 1 is coming close in the dispersion medium 3 of the alkyl- substituted aromatic monocyclic hydrocarbon, the corpuscle is dispersed keeping a distance at least about twice as length as a chain length of the molecule 2 because the fellow hydrophobic group 2 repels. Accordingly, the characteristics such as low viscosity, high saturated magnetization, low volatility and etc., can be provided. |
