PURPOSE:To obtain a high-density uniform developed color image, by providing a surfactant layer on a layer comprising minute voids therein or on an undercoat layer. CONSTITUTION:A layer comprising minute voids therein and, optionally, an undercoat layer comprising a film-forming high molecular weight compound as a main constituent are provided on a base, and a thermal color forming layer comprising a leuco dye and a color developer as main constituents is provided thereon. The minute void-comprising layer acts as a heat-insulating layer, whereas the undercoat layer functions to level off the ruggedness of the surface of the minute void-comprising layer, and the surfactant layer serves to enhance the wetting properties of an undercoating liquid and a heat-sensitive coating liquid and to uniformize the undercoat layer or the thermal color forming layer. Therefore, a uniform developed color image free of missing of dots or cissing can be obtained with high thermal sensitivity. |
