PURPOSE:To easily and rapidly execute the edition of performance information by producing the performance data tone instructed by an address pointer for a prescribed period of time when the depression of a step forward key is detected. CONSTITUTION:The depression of the step forward key (STEPFD) 5 is detected by an operating element switch circuit 22 when this key is depressed. The automatic performance data instructed by the present address pointer (ADR) is then read out of a performance data memory (APM) 42 and a musical tone signal generating circuit 63 for automatic performance produces the performance data tone for the prescribed period of time. The ADR in the APM 42 is progressed up to the address of the performance data to be produced next when the transmission of the signal ends. The same performance data is again kept produced for the prescribed period of time when the depression of the STEPFD 5 is executed again within the prescribed time after the depression thereof. The edition of the performance information is, therefore, rapidly executed with the simple operation when the specific performance information is desired to be edited. |
