The door opening/closing control method in a microwave oven having manipulation buttons, controller, a heating part, a door opening sensing switch and a synchronous motor, is comprised of determining whether a door is opened after a set time cooking is completed; if the door is opened, maintaining a stand-by state; if the door is not opened within a predetermined time, supplying a driving power to the synchronous motor to forcibly open the door; after drawing a cooked material from a cooking chamber, maintaining the stand-by state; and if the cooked material is not drawn, maintaining the door opened state.
