The system consists of an actuating power cylinder (11) which is connected to the carrier vehicle and a receiving structure (14) for the reel which is pivoted to the vehicle and operated by the power cylinder. The reel is equipped with a frame which can be locked on to the receiving structure for loading/unloading. The system is equipped with an articulated assembly (30) connecting the vehicle to the receiving structure which allows the latter to be rotated relative to the vehicle and the assembly, and a stop (39) which limits the rotation of the receiving structure relative to the articulated assembly, which is designed to increase the reel's clearance from the ground and its distance from the vehicle. The assembly (30) comprises an arm (32) and two levers (33, 34), and there is one such assembly on each side of the receiving structure.
