PURPOSE:To adaptively change driving force characteristic while feeding back whether a driver is satisfied with vehicle characteristics or nor by judging whether the driver follows a preceding vehicle or not, and then changing the driving characteristic of the vehicle to make the follow-up precision satisfactory. CONSTITUTION:A driver measures a distance between vehicles by a distance- between-vehicles measuring means (a), detects the magnitude of time change of the distance between vehicles by a detecting means (b), and judges this as a follow-up drive by a follow-up drive judging means (c) when it is in the state less than a determined value. The average value of the distance between vehicles of the past determine time portion is calculated by an average value calculating means (d), the follow-up precision is calculated by a follow-up precision calculating means (e) by the deviation of the distance between vehicles to this average value and evaluated. The driving characteristic is changed by a driving characteristic changing means (f) to make the follow-up precision satisfactory. Hence, the characteristic of driving force of the vehicle can be adaptively changed. |
