The device consists of a housing (2) for dimming the ambient light (7), and has a light inlet opening (10) at least partially blocked by a light filtering diffuser (6), and a light outlet opening (11) provided with a reflecting member such as a mirror (1). The picture (5) to be projected is at the inlet opening. The device is suitable for grave markers, street furniture, advertising media and the like.
