PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To put a storing part into a closed condition at the time of parking so as to prevent generation of burglar by providing the storing part with lock means for a cover, making operable the means through movement of shift lever of an automatic transmission, and making close the cover through the lock means in case of the lever being at a specified position. SOLUTION: A cover 34 is fitted into a storage recess 20 of a console box 1 and thereby a small article container 12 is formed. Lock means 36 is formed in a slit at the connection part between an AT indicator and the container 12. When a shift lever 15 is in a position other than a position P, the lever 15 does not press a pressed part 31a of engaging protrusion 31 of the lock means 36. Accordingly an engaging part 31b of an engaging protrusion 31 does not engage with an engagement hole 34b of a cover 34 and thus the cover 34 can be opened or closed. When the shift lever 15 is in the position P, the shift lever 15 presses the pressed part 31a, and the engaging part 31b is inserted into the engagement hole 34b and thus the cover is maintained in a closed condition. Consequently at the time of parking the container 12 is surely made close. |
