PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wear from being caused on a screw and a barrel even when a resin composition such as an epoxy resin composition containing a large quantity of a hard inorganic filler, is kneaded, and stably perform a kneading for a long period of time by forming a coating layer, etc., wherein a composite boride based alloy is coated and sintered, on the screw and the barrel. SOLUTION: For a kneading machine, a screw which has a spiral blade of a continuous shape at a feeding part A, and has a spiral blade of an intermittent shape, where one part is missing, at a plasticizing part B and a kneading part C, is used. Also, for the kneading machine, a wear resistance at the time when a heat-setting type resin composition containing a hard inorganic filler is kneaded, is drastically improved by providing a coating layer on the screw and a barrel. As the material for the screw and barrel, a material with a suitable strength, e.g. steel for machine structure is used, and as the coating layer, a coating layer wherein a composite boride based alloy is coated and sintered, or a coating layer wherein tungsten carbide is thermally sprayed, is used. |
