PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an improved nugget free of internal defects such as a blowhole and also to obtain a high joining strength by using pure silver containing certain amount of silver in a part with a specific thickness in contact with an aluminum alloy material. SOLUTION: The electrode tip 10 is so composed that a pure silver member 15 containing silver with 5μm or more thickness and with 99.9wt.% is integrated by diffusion welding at the tip end part which is in contact with the aluminum alloy material of the tip body 14 made of chromium copper. Consequently, the number of continuous spot can be greatly improved, providing the welding electrode of the aluminum alloy excellent in welding efficiency. |
