PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a polybutylene terephthalate resin composition having antibacterial properties useful for wall covering material and flooring material, etc., comprising a polybutylene terephthalate resin, a polycarbonate resin, a specific barium sulfate and a water-soluble glass powder or grains containing a specific metal ion. SOLUTION: This resin composition comprises (A) 10-50wt.% of a polybutylene terephthalate resin, (B) 10-50wt.% of a polycarbonate resin, (C) 10-80wt.% of barium sulfate containing <=500ppm of chlorine and preferably having 0.5-50μm of particle diameter and (D) 0.1-10wt.% of a water soluble glass powder or grains containing one or more kinds of metal ions selected from Ag<+> , Cu<2+> and Zn<2+> (preferably Ag<+> ). Further, 0.01-5wt.% of a lubricant (E) is preferably formulated.
