PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press flower-producing tool not deforming the flower, capable of uniformly applying a load to a flower, uniformly absorbing water and drying the flower and substantially retaining the original color of the flower by employing a pair of porous bags having a reversibly water-absorbing and releasing substance sealed therein. SOLUTION: A pressed flower is produced by using a pair of porous bags 12, 13 filled each with silica gels 18, 19. The silica gels 18, 19 have fine pore diameters of 2-100Åand a reversibly water-absorbing or releasing property. The silica gels having a granular diameter of 5-100 meshes are preferable. The porous bags 12, 13 comprise a porous material such as a woven fabric or a cloth, and the covers 14, 15 of the openings can be closed with hook-and-loop fasteners 16, 17, etc. The length and width of the porous bag are generally approximately 100-500mm, respectively, and the tickness of the layers filled with the silica gels 18, 19 is approximately 2-5mm. A method for producing the pressed flower with the pressed flower-producing tool 11 comprises loading a flower 20 on the lower porous bag 13, loading the upper porous bag 12 on the flower 20, and further loading a weight 21 thereon. Therein, the silica gels 18, 19 are moved along the shape of the flower at a place contacting with the flower 20.
