PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject diaphragm excellent in mechanical strength such as tensile strength or breaking extension and having durability capable of withstanding repeatedly performed deformation and restoration. SOLUTION: A diaphragm 1 for filter press is composed of a compsn. prepared by mechanically blending a polyolefin resin and ethylene/propylene copolymer rubber or ethylene/propylene/non-conjugated diene copolymer rubber or a crystalline thermoplastic synthetic resin being a partially crosslinked polyolefinic thermoplastic elastomer. A large number of projections 2 for forming filter grooves are provided so as to leave a base part 11 on an elastic substrate and the diameter of spherical crystals of the base part 11 is set to 1-40μm.
