PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety so as to prevent the submergence of electrical parts such as a timer or the like even at the time of abnormal overflow due to the clogging of a discharge hose or the like by providing knob kinds on an inclined operation panel surface and covering the upper part of the knob kinds with a cover. SOLUTION: An operation panel 5 is provided on the rear part of a washing machine and a dehydrating tank. The operation panel 5 is constituted of a rear panel 5a provided with a water supply port 6 and the operation panel surface for which a washing timer knob 10, a dehydrating timer knob, a changeover cock knob, a buzzer knob and a water supply changeover knob, etc., are arranged on an inclined surface. The operation panel surface is inclined in an inclination angleα, for instance about 20-40 deg., to the upper end face of a top cover 3. Then, a washing tank cover 18 is provided so as to cover all the knob kinds such as the washing timer knob 10 or the like arranged on the operation panel surface.
