PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold and carry a box stably and prevent a handle piece from being depressed, by engaging locking parts formed on both sides of a grip part with locking part support pieces and providing grip piece depression-preventing pieces at four corners of upper edges of side boards. SOLUTION: A cardboard box has side boards 1-4 forming four side faces and bottom boards 30, 32, 40, 42 forming a bottom face, and lid upper face pieces 10, 20 are connectively provided to the upper edges of the two side boards 1, 3 opposed to each other, while grip pieces 11, 21 having locking parts 13, 14, 23, 24 are successively provided connectively to both upper ends of the lid upper face pieces 10, 20 through folding lines h, i, k, l, respectively. On the other hand, locking part support pieces 15, 25 engaging with the locking parts 13, 14, 23, 24 of the grip pieces 11, 21 are provided connectively to the upper edges of the other two side boards 2, 4 through folding lines n, q, respectively. Further, grip piece depression-preventing pieces 18, 19, 28, 29 are provided, which are connected to both sides of the locking part support pieces 15, 25 at the upper edges of the other two side boards 2, 4 through folding lines o, r, respectively. With this arrangement, closing characteristics of the cardboard box can be maintained, and the grip piece depression-preventing pieces can prevent the lid upper pieces 10, 20 from being depressed.
