Either a hollow heald frame stave or an end frame strut has at least two members which clamp between them one member of the other part. In Figure 2 the end strut 2 has a tenon 12 which is clamped between members 4, 6 of the bifurcated stave end by a screw 3. In Figure 3 (not shown) the strut has two tenons which clamp over a member (16) of the stave. In Figure 4 (not shown) the two tenons of the strut are forced apart by a screw to act on stave members. Figure 5 (not shown) has a similar arrangement to that of Figure 4. |
