WIRE GLASS HAVING SEALING LAYER, ITS PRODUCTION AND MULTIPLE GLASS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the handling of wire glass after antitrust treatment in order to realize the rust prevention of wire glass by covering the edge faces of the wire glass with a thermoplastic material. SOLUTION: In the wire glass, the metallic wire net 1 is embedded between the upper and lower glass layers. The glass wire 2 is sealed with a band of the sealing layer 3 made of a thermoplastic resin around all of the periphery. The sealing layer 3 is 1.0-2.0mm thick and preferably has the width almost equal to that of the edge face of the wire glass. This sealing layer is formed by extruding a thermoplastic resin material from a resin extruder toward the edge face of the wire glass and integrating the resin to the edge face.
