<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the developing shape of an air bag by changing the flow rate of gas from an inflator by a diffuser in the middle of the development of the air bag in the air bag device equipped with the diffuser rectifying the flow of gas from the inflator. SOLUTION: A diffuser 3 has its partition partially overlapped in and out at both its end parts, also has its diameter enlarged by slipping the overlapped end parts 4 by the pressure of gas from an inflator while being wound up in a rolled form, and concurrently nozzle holes 7 and 8 whose cross sectional areas are changed by a slippage between an inner wall 5 and an outer wall 6, are formed so that these holes thereby penetrate through the mutually overlapped inner and outer walls 5 and 6.</p> |
