PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the degradation in the recovery rate of copper by judging that reduction has ended when the magnetite content in slag in a molten state formed in copper smelting attains a specific value or below at the time of recovering copper by blowing a reducing agent into this slag. SOLUTION: The reducing agent (propane, etc.) is blown together with air for combustion at need into the slag in the molten state formed in copper smelting to reduce the magnetite in the slag to recover the copper-component in the slag. At this time, the slag is sampled and the magnetite content in the slag is measured by a magnetic material quantity measuring instrument. It is judged that the reduction has ended when this content falls to <=1%. As a result, the degradation in the copper recovery by the lack of the reduction of the magnetite is prevented, and the loss of the reducing agent by the excessive reduction of the magnetite is prevented.
|
