<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the safety of an electric motor-driven power steering device economically without deteriorating its operativeness by referring to past vehicle speed signals to judge the present state and to control a steering auxiliary torque as a fail-safe countermeasure in the case of inability of getting vehicle speed signals due to some cause of trouble in an electric motor-driven power steering device for changing the steering auxiliary torque in response to one system vehicle speed signal. SOLUTION: The present invention is related to an electric motor-driven power steering device 1 provided with a control means 35 including a target electric current setting means 21, a deviation calculating means 22, a proportion/ integration control means 23, a control signal generating means 24, an ignition switch ON/OFF detecting means 25, a vehicle speed signal flag display means 26, a memory means 27, a latch means 28, a judging means 29, and a timer means 30.</p> |
