<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to expand the sweet area of a golf club head. SOLUTION: The centroid position of the head is arranged backward and the sweet area is correspondingly expanded if a head body 1 and face member 16 consisting of materials having a low sp. gr. and a back member 8 consisting of a material having a high sp. gr. are combined. The front surface of an upper projecting line 12, the front surface 13A of one side projecting line 13, the front surface 14A of another side projecting line 14 and the front surface of a lower projecting line 15 are so formed as to enclose the face member 16 in an annular form. As a result, the weight distribution at the face is circumferentially dispersed and the concentration of the weight distribution at the face is averted, by which the sweet area is expanded.</p> |
